MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2026, BARCELONA – Network connectivity analysts Ookla said at Mobile World Congress 2026 that they will be bought by professional services giant, Accenture.
Accenture is buying Ookla as part of a larger, $1.2B deal to acquire Ziff Davis' Connectivity division. The agreement will give Accenture Ookla as well as Downdetector and RootMetrics.
"Accenture has signed an agreement to purchase Ookla," a spokesperson at Ookla told Fierce. Fierce is scheduled to meet with Ookla at MWC, so we'll report back on what more there is to know.
Ookla started in 2006 as a company that delivered Speedtest, a service that let users test the speed of their Internet Service Provider. That developed into a network metrics analyst firm. Ookla currently employs 516 employees.
